R&D and product innovation

For M-plastics, sustainability is not an afterthought; it is an integral part of how we operate. Whenever there is a more sustainable way of doing something, we pursue it. We continuously work to minimise the environmental impact of our own operations, our supply chain and our customers.

We use almost exclusively recycled and highly recyclable plastics, supported by Cyclos-HTP certification. At the end of their useful life, our products can be recycled into raw material for new products.

We work closely with our customers and advise them on sustainable product design and the most efficiënt use of materials.

Circularity depends on the entire chain working together.
That is why M-plastics takes back used products and works to keep material loops as closed as possible.

We also use raw materials, water, and energy responsibly and efficiently. The 5,000 m² of solar panels on our production facility generate approximately 400,000 kWh of electricity each year, all of which is used in our production process.

Our offices have also been designed with sustainablility in mind, including the use of LED lighting. In addition, we carefully plan deliveries to minimise transport movements.

Our certifications

The Cyclos-HTP certificate confirms that the relevant products can be detected using NIR technology.

The Cyclos-HTP Institute is one of Europe’s leading organisations for research into and optimisation of product and packaging recyclability.
